The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announces its intent to request applications from small business for Recycling Electronics and Asset Disposition (READ) services for a variety of electronics equipment
including: Personal computer desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, LAN equipment, copying machines, phones, palm pilots, cell phones, etc. EPA plans to award multiple contracts which will provide the entire Federal sector with a procurement tool to recycle and properly dispose of excess or obsolete electronic personal property in an environmentally responsible manner. The RFP is expected to open in mid-February.
